IoT platform for the smart management of public and private buildings through the use of data from IoT sensors

COGITO's Cognitive IoT System aims to improve building management, safety and quality of life of its occupants. Buildings will be equipped with a real "brain" through the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and Cognitive Dynamic Systems (CDS) and thanks to the implementation of cognitive and self-developing features. The prototype realized, using all the data from the sensors placed in the rooms, allows to: understand how buildings and spaces use energy, make comparative evaluations of the energy performance of home appliances and systems and implement solutions that ensure higher comfort levels; identify incorrect or unvirtuous uses of home appliances and systems and provide alerts and suggestions to increase security and energy savings; make predictions and perform a series of targeted analyses for the predictive maintenance of the systems, in order to act in a preventive way through programming, monitoring, and control actions; automate and optimize the organization of indoor and outdoor environments (ex. automate and optimize the organization of indoor and outdoor environments (e.g. smart parking, smart meeting room) to make them efficient and safe.
