KIT FOR HEALTH
Self Quantification System prototype for sport and wellness,.
SCAI Lab with its research activity aims to raise the general level of innovation by expanding vertically and horizontally its range of IT consulting services, especially in the emerging field of Internet of Things. The idea that inspires Kit for health project is the development of a Self Quantification System prototype for sport and wellness, with characteristics and specifications not yet on the market.
The SQS K4H will be:
a system for collecting, aggregating, integrating, organising, processing and analysing data on sports activities, nutrition, well-being and health
a performance quantification tool, effective for those who practice sport and want to acquire a greater knowledge of themselves, be motivated and achieve goals
a control and monitoring device for those who follow a diet and exercise plan, to improve health or facilitate healing processes
a system of connection between self-trackers and health professionals, to follow highly personalized programs
The experimental development activities are aimed at building a prototype of an intelligent engine that can integrate:
data collected through IOT systems (in particular sensors for detecting air quality in parks and areas equipped for sport and leisure)
data collected directly by the K4H platform
data from wearable devices, mobile devices and third-party web apps via Google fit repository (a cloud service that uses Google's infrastructure to store and aggregate data from a lot of apps)
data from information sources related to the world of e-health
The system, based on advanced models and techniques of multidimensional analysis and flexible interrogation of information, will be able to guide athletes, patients, medical staff and trainers in a process of monitoring and knowledge of sports and health performance, facilitating the formation of good habits and providing a wide range of information, suggestions and reminders.
